River House offers fine dining ‘at home’ for groups of 8 plus. Please ask for our menu.

An Indian fire pit and a guests’ BBQ and smokery can be set up on the terrace overlooking the lawns for a delightful ambience on a summer’s night if you prefer to self-cater. There is a large Rangemaster oven/cooker in the kitchen and a selection of tableware and silver cutlery.

For larger groups, small weddings and anniversaries are welcome. We have an elegant marquee which can be set up on the terrace overlooking the river for up 40 to 60 diners (please enquire for costings).

ACTIVITIES
Enjoy private fishing, in season, along the river banks at River House. In addition to our stunning swimming pool area with games room, there are also a variety of garden games including clock golf and croquet. Relax in the bubbling hot tub afterwards.

Clay pigeon shooting, horse riding and bicycle/canal barge hire on the Kennet & Avon Canal are available nearby, as well as many famous places to visit, including Bath, Wells, Longleat, Cheddar Gorge and Stonehenge.

Longleat House and Safari Park, the medieval weaving town of Bradford on Avon, the ancient City of Wells, Cheddar Gorge and several important National Trust properties, including Lacock Abbey and Stourhead, are within easy driving distance.
